Our Naming Story

So, why Polarized Branding? You may be thinking, why did we choose a name that has a negative connotation. For one, it may have piqued your curiosity, and two, being polarizing is actually a good thing in branding. The definition of polarization is a state in which the opinions, beliefs, or interests of a group or society no longer range along a continuum but become concentrated at opposing extremes.

The truth is, there’s power in polarization. If you try to appeal to everyone, you appeal to no one. Being vanilla is the opposite of standing out, and playing it safe is the riskiest thing you can do for your business. In a 3-second world, the last effect a brand can afford to create is indifference. You shouldn’t fear being disliked but being invisible.

How do big-name brands such as Nike, Starbucks, Ben & Jerry’s, Apple, and Patagonia dominate the marketplace? They become polarizing brands attracting a tribal following. They aren’t afraid to take a stand eliciting an emotional response that either repels or draws people in. This emotional connection matters because it can make your brand irreplaceable.

To gain more customers and make a positive impact, you first have to stand out, then build heartfelt connections.

We help your brand win hearts through bold differentiation and regenerative brand building from the inside out, transforming your business into an Impact Brand.
